This week I found papers on deep learning in augmented reality which will be very helpful for my literature review and further research for my project and caught up with some blogs I had missed. I had another supervisor meeting too. Next week I would like to have a first draft of my literature review completed and fix anymore technical issues I have with OpenCV so I can move forward with my project.

Honours Project Journal Week 4 Term 2
This week I solved some technical issues I was having with OpenCV, the main one was manually installing an application called OpenCV Manager to my device. Thisallows OpenCV applications to run on your device externally from any image datasets or other resources that might be needed to run the application. I was able to solve this issue among some other smaller problems. I documented each issue with what solutions I found, tried and eventually got to work There is still one small problem with the OpenCV Manager which should be fixed with the trial and error. I also had my progress meeting this week and decided to make a new schedule as I had a better idea of where my project was after this meeting. Net week I will focus on my literature review.
Honours Project Journal Week 3 term 2
This week I was able to get OpenCV linked with my project and had my third meeting with my supervisor. I also found some useful papers for my literature review. next week I will work more with OpenCV and have their neural network sample running to test if OpenCV has been set up correctly.
Honours Project Journal Week 2 Term 2
This week I found some papers for my literature review and documented what parts were of interest, what methods they used and how it linked back to my project. I also had my second supervisor meeting. Next week I will link OpenCV ( a open source computer vision library) with a new Android Studio Project.

Honours Project Journal Week 1 Term 2
This week I had a group meeting with my supervisor were we talked about where we were in our projects. Next week I will be working on my literature review.
Honours Project Journal 8
This week I presented my feasibility demo to my supervisor which replaced the regular weekly meeting. The next steps will be to move onto making a functional neural network that classifies images correctly. The rest of the time for this semester will be finishing work for other modules.
Honours Project Journal 7
This week I completed my literature review and some code examples. I was unable to complete any code regarding Tensorflow as I have had some difficulty setting it up with Android Studio. I put together a document for my required artefact’s and a document with my other artefact’s. I was unable to meet with my supervisor this week but next week is the feasibility demo.
Honours Project Journal 6
This week I got a lot of my feasibility demo finalised, which includes; my project plan, risk analysis survey design, research question and my personal risk assessment. I just need the personal risk assessment to be signed. Next week I will be working on the last 2 required parts of the demo along with any others I can add in. I will not be able to meet with my supervisor next week as they are in China but I will send them my personal risk assessment to be signed.
Honours Project Journal 5
After my supervisor group meeting I have decided to continue using a neural network for my project. I completed my risk assessment and submitted my ethical approval application. My next step will be to get Tensorflow working with Android Studio. The main thing I want to focus on is the feasibility demo. Next week I will put my project plan into a gantt chart and look into what other artefacts I can include with my demo.
